This stunning 1/2 Penny colonial issue is depicts Washington on the obverse and a beautiful ship on the reverse. The edge is lettered like other early US coinage - instead of a reeded or plain edge - which makes this piece extra special. The surfaces are original chocolate brown uncleaned with no problems and professionally graded by NGC as Extra Fine 40 BN (Brown). With colonial issues becoming more difficult to obtain and recent auctions demanding new record prices; we think it's a smart idea to add some clean and certified colonials to any serious collection.
