About
Holdables is a small family owned business located in Massachusetts, USA. We primarily work with new collectors that are interested in growing a portfolio of collectible coins as a hard asset store of value. This certainly isn't a new idea, as there are many sites that sell coins and bullion to collectors and investors. Here at holdables we take a different approach to collecting and investing in coins.
First and foremost, we do not sell bullion unless it is collectible in nature. For example, the 1994 1oz American Gold Eagle in MS70 is currently selling for between $12,000-$15,000 - well above melt value for 1oz of gold; and well above the cost if you had purchased that coin in 1994. That is because this coin is rare in perfect mint state condition. Therefore, a common type bullion coin becomes a collectible rare coin since there are so few in that grade.
Holdables focuses our attention on coins like these - coins who's value far exceeds its melt or face value. We believe this market is generally underserved and very undervalued. We also focus on collectible silver medals - the market for these beautiful medals is in its infancy and a solid growth potential. Therefore, the values associated with modern collectible coins, silver medals and ancient coins should also be undervalued since the market is currently small. The good news is that there are new collectors arriving to the market each day. It's already been shown that 2021 should be another record year for online coin dealers across the spectrum as is was in 2020. The entire coin market at this point has shifted online; there are very few surviving storefronts. In spite of COVID-19, 2020 had record sales reported by the major auction houses.
The value you get when you choose Holdables as your source for coins can be easily summed up by saying we care about our clients and we love people; truly, we care deeply about how satisfied a customer is. Beyond that, we'll have available options of excellent Investment Grade examples : We'll spend hours searching for one example of a coin we would consider. Some of the time we don't find the one with the type of overall beauty and grade we're looking for. Many times we'll stumble upon the coin by accident at a later date and it's always worth the wait. This general practice, of being exceedingly cautious, mindful and diligent in regards to the Holdables inventory sets us aside from many of our peers.
